What is better than waking up to the most gorgeous sunrise and getting to document two incredible humans in love? We went to Edgewood for some mural hunting and fun strolls with Ashley and Jeff and it was just perfect! The light was amazing, we hd so much fun with them and we couldn’t be happier about how these turned out! We love urban sessions. Atlanta has the most perfect areas for them as well. If you’re looking for an urban, colorful, fun engagement session you will love this one. It is definitely one of my most favorites!

The locations we chose captured our relationship and personalities. We shot in Edgewood and Lullwater Park. That gave us a great range between artistic/urban environment with murals and industrial buildings (even got a shot with a velociraptor mural in the background - Jeff's personal favorite) as well as the serenity of the woods, a stream even an old deserted mill. If you’re choosing an urban location such as Edgewood, go early in the morning! Aline strongly recommended this and not only was the lighting truly beautiful, but the streets weren't as crowded which allowed us to get a lot of great shots. For the park, I'd recommend bringing a second pair of comfy shoes since there is some walking involved. But every location was well worth the walk.

Would you recommend having an engagement shoot prior to the wedding day? Why?

100%! We got to know Aline and Mihai beforehand. Establishing that relationship will make you more comfortable in front of the camera on the big day. Plus, their photos are so beautiful! So worth it. So glad we did it!!

What was the best part of your engagement session?

Working with Aline and Mihai! We're not super comfortable in front of camera. But they made us laugh and feel at ease. And their direction made our shots look so natural and beautiful. They are THE BEST!

Ashley's my travel partner, dance partner and dog rearing partner throughout life. Her laugh reminds me we're doing life the best way we can, every day. - Jeff.
