Meet Kayla and Matt,

Their beautiful Morning Autumn Wedding at Ashton Gardens was a gorgeous celebration!! What an amazing wedding venue in the Atlanta area! Kayla shared some of their inspirations and details about their special day, read their sweet story bellow. I know you’ll fall in love with them!

Tell us about the inspirations you had behind your big day

We wanted something simple and elegant! Our first thought was something small with about 20 people but we have a LOT of family and didn’t want anyone left out! We both loved the idea of an outside wedding but we were concerned with how the weather might be in November! When we found Ashton Gardens we knew it was perfect. The three sides of windows made it feel like you were outside and the natural light was beautiful!

What about your bridal look?

I don’t wear a lot of jewelry. Never have! So I knew right away I wanted something simple! We got a single diamond with a white gold band and a matching white gold wedding band to match! My dress is honestly not what I had in mind! But we went to 3 different dress stores and every time I tried on a dress I thought I would like... I wasn’t impressed! I gave this style a chance and loved it! The dress flattered my figure and I finally felt like a bride!

What were some of the best moments?

Kayla - I couldn’t wait to get to the first look. All morning I was thinking about getting to that point. Matt is my best friend and it was more weird to NOT see him ya know?! It gave me an even bigger sense of calmness.

My favorite moment of the wedding was before we walked down the staircase into the reception. We were alone for the first time after the ceremony. It was just a couple minutes but we took a selfie, laughed, and had a minute to regroup.

How did your day went?

Honestly I thought it was perfect! I’m naturally a person who struggles with anxiety so I assumed I might have those issues. Surprisingly I was extremely calm and just happy to watch everything come together! I’m glad we did the “first look”. Matt is truly my best friend and it was even more calming to be able to have a moment alone. Fun fact! I forgot my shoes at home and ended up walking down the aisle in socks! My maid of honors mom brought me shoes but she was a few minutes too late! My bridesmaids were very concerned and offering me their shoes but I didn’t care. No one could see my feet anyway! - Kayla
