Stephanie & Chris’ wedding’s magical day… Enjoy their love story!!

Our wedding was one of the best days of our lives, and we wish we could relive it! There were so many special and amazing moments, it would be impossible to choose just one! We opted not to write our own vows for the ceremony since we had a feeling the nerves might get the best of us if we did, so we instead decided to write each other personal love notes to read privately on the morning of the wedding. It was so special to have that private moment amongst the chaos of the day to relax and read the beautiful words written by Chris. The note was filled with memories, humor and promises for our future together. Reading it reminded me that nothing else mattered, and the most important thing was that I got to marry him. Another special moment was our first look. I was completely overcome with nerves, and he put me at ease so effortlessly. After I stopped crying anyway. Sharing that private moment together (well, along with our photographers, videographer, makeup artist, and of course the entire bridal party spying from a distance) was so incredible. And then there was the first look with our dogs, which made me even more excited and overwhelmed with joy! Our little fur monsters are so important to us; we couldn’t imagine not having them there on this monumental day. They also provided a lot of comic relief throughout the ceremony! And I’ll just add one last one: Chris is a huge Taylor Swift fan and mentioned in passing years ago that he wanted Shake it Off to be played at our wedding. As a surprise, I added this song to our special requests with the band. When the band started playing it, you should have seen his face light up! It was an unforgettable moment. We were finally able to “shake off” all of the stress and worry we felt leading up to this day and enjoy ourselves on the makeshift grass dance floor with our favorite people. I felt such a strong and emotional connection to him and everyone else there in this perfect moment of complete happiness. -Stephanie

What was one of the your favorite details of the wedding?

The flowers were one of our favorite details of the wedding. We absolutely love flowers and always have fresh flowers in our home (thanks to the sweet and considerate Chris who brings home beautiful bouquets). Chris had been getting the bouquets from the local florist in our neighborhood, and they were always so lovely that we knew we wanted them to do our wedding flowers. We wanted the flowers to be distinctive and artistic while also exemplifying the dreamy boho and romantic vibe we wanted for the wedding.

What was the inspiration behind your day?

We couldn’t have been happier with how our wedding turned out! Everything was absolutely perfect. We were mainly inspired by the natural beauty of our venue, which is a lush Tuscan inspired hidden garden nestled secretly within a bustling city. We always knew we wanted an outdoor wedding, and when we saw this venue, we were captivated by its alluring floral landscape. We wanted our garden wedding to have the feel of modern whimsy with touches of romantic and bohemian charm.
